I am building a larger mirror frame-about 5 1/2′ tall by 24 inches wide. It will be encased by a stand that has legs on the floor and two stiles that run halfway up it. They are 3″ square and I need to have a way to connect them to the mirror frame, and that also allows it to pivot, but also allows it to hold wherever you tilt it to. As far as hardware, what exists out there? The local Ace and Home Depot don’t really have anything. I’ve thought of drilling holes inside the stile, then putting a dowel in them to rest against the bottom of the mirror as I tilt, but then I only get certain angles, and I would really prefer that I can’t see the holes from the front, so this is less than perfect. Any suggestions or experience?

If my memory serves me (which it doesn't always) I think that Rockler has what you're looking for. Look for mirror stand hardware on their site.

Bingo!.. I don't know how I've never seen these before, but these are exactly what I'm after.. Thanks
Your welcome. When I want something, I always start by looking in a Lee Valley catalog first. Saves a lot of looking most of the time.
