What the url or address for where you got your adjuster?? Is that a Holtey adjuster. Pretty much a high standard one and you might not find any better if it is a Holtey. You might try looking at the links on this site for plane makers. The link is one of the first places to look and you will find stuff you didn't know you were looking for. http://www.woodcentral.com has an even better links page. Shepherd tools and such places are mentioned in the links as well as many other. Also in back of many woodworking mags such as FWW. Never heard of any Dutch mags bur I'm sure you get the British ones there as well. I've seen some good British forums which have links just don't have the urls handy on this pc.
A tip...Instead of saying..."I ordered a blade ajuster from a company in England" , say "I ordered a blade adjuster from Cedrics plane company , http://www.cedricplanes.com fictious company but I think you get my point.
I bought my ajuster at http://www.toolbazaar.co.uk and it is indeed a norris type bladeajuster but now i want an ajuster where a pin fits in a hole in the blade.atleast I thought that shoulder planes work like that.I need one like the left on the picture attached.for the plane i made i used the right one
thank you for your tip, I know what you mean. That would be better
Greetings koen
Thanks for posting the picture. Now I know what you're looking for.Unfortunately, I don't know where to buy one.
I do have a suggestion. Could you modify a Norris adjuster by replacing the end? From looking at that picture,it seems to me that the main difference between the adjusters are the ends.Could you make a different end, or have one made?
Good luck with your plane-making.You're off to a great start!

Congratulations on the plane!
Beautiful work!
It looks like you used a Norris-type adjuster. That type is usually used in infill planes like yours. It's one of the best around, because it has less backlash than most others.
What type adjuster are you looking for? Is there a problem with the one you used?
I'm not aware of any other adjusters besides the one you used. If it works well, keep using it!
Hope this helps.

This site has the Norris style adjuster.

If you go to the WoodNet forums and look for John's woodshop under hand tool users he has a friend that makes them. John's woodshop is his name.
