   It appears to be a high end Japanese planer which could be purchased with a 6 inch jointer added on one side.  They are still made by Hitachi, the one in the photo, based on the paint color, could possibly be an older Makita.  The Hitachi version can be found on the Amazon site.  It doesn't seem like Makita sells that style of machine in the U.S. currently.

   Looks like the original Hitachi P12R or P12RA with jointer attachment.  I don't think they make them anymore.

   I believe that Hitachi does still sell a version of the PR12 in the U.S., I saw a brand new one in a shop just a few years ago and a Google search turned up a new one for sale on Amazon.
