Hi all, trying to help my dad find a part for his planer. He has a 15” auto planer made by transpower. I need to replace the part in the picture but he doesn’t know what it’s called. Any one know the name of this part? And possibly where I can purchase it?
(I tried asking on OWWM.org already.. they were very rude and unhelpful. Hoping for better luck here)!!

I think TRANSPOWER was a reseller of Taiwanese equipment. There is a chance that other companies bought from the same Taiwanese factory and painted them a different color and put their own badges on them.
So, if you can post some pics of the planer from various angles, maybe someone here will recognise it as a clone of an older model Grizzly or Jet. This may lead you to a parts source.

Did it, thanks!
I rotated your pics.
I also found an ad in the march/april 1994 Fine Woodworking magazine.
It shows the Transpower AP-850 as a 15 inch by 8 inch planer with a 3hp motor and it sold for $760
I found a manual online for an SA 380 planer that looks to be the same. It has a parts list and I can see the part, looks like it’s called a spindle nut. Part 21 and part number 300050. Maybe this will help track something down?

There are many clones of that particular planer format. I would say you have a good chance of finding that part to be interchangeable. If it is not cost prohibitive I would certainly give it a shot if I didn't have any better suggestions.
