Hi,
My Delta 12″ planer has recently begun cutting out of square. Last night on 2 3/4 inch piece of oak i found that there was a 1/32 difference between each side on each pass through the planer. Does anyone know of an adjustment or parts replacement for this problem?
Thanks.

FG,
There should be a setscrew or similar, on the sprocket, pinion gear or whatever, that governs height adjustment on your machine. Loosening this screw on the pinion on one side of the bed/cutterhead, then raising (or lowering) the height will bring the bed/ cutterhead into parallel. Adjust to a pair of strips of equal thickness between the bed and cutterhead, then tighten the screw again. A drop of blue loktite is not a bad thing here. Bob's yer Uncle!
P.S. UNPLUG THE MACHINE FIRST! And, make sure the blades haven't loosened in the cutterhead, 2d. This could be causing the deeper cut on one side, and on a scale of one-to-bad, that could be bad.
