   I have a buddy that has a block of wax by his planner all the time and before he uses it he always makes a few jagged lines down the lenght of the bed and swears that it gives the wood a better surface because the wood is surfaced more evenly (same number of cuts per inch).

   I like to use the spray that doesnt have any silicone in it..I have had experience with a project that I used wax on My tablesaw and it didnt take any finish in a few spots because of the wax...had a hell of a time sanding it out and getting it to take a finish...I use the "Top-coat" brand sold at most hdwe suppliers and tool depots...just something to think about and My 2 cents worth.

   That is what I spary on my tools but my buddy has basicly the same stuff in a can but a a bar form. He makes a few lines on hte bed and has never had a problem with it. I am not sure where he got it as I don't see myself doing it everythime I run the thing. I like to spray and walk away.Scott C. Frankland
