Ace Franklin: Peter Carver UK Professional Furniture Restorer would like to suggest a typical "Bonheur du Jour" which your request for typically describes. This piece of furniture can be as simple in production or as complicated in veneer as you can personally feel able to tackle. Plans for this are available in "Period Furniture Projects" by V.J. *ACE The ISBN can be used in the Library of Congress. Every book published in the US, or marketed here must be in the LOC. Simply go there and it's yours to read and copy as needed, or if you live out a bit and can't make it in, go to the LOC.gov site and for a nominal fee they will copy pages for you. (And a few, who have similar interests, will do it for free) give it a go!
