Plant stand pictured below I made from Sycamore. Quarter sawn it probably still is an unstable wood. It was a challenge for me because I don’t and didn’t use any machines except an electric drill for the eight holes that I used screws and plugs to fasten legs tenons and aprons together. I used hide glue too. I hand sawed each leg. I used a bevel to put two angles in the tapered legs. I saved a cut off from the first leg and used it to trace an outline on two opposing side of each leg. I used planes and gouges to shape the top rim. Initially, I intended to put the top on the other way around but decided it looked better this way. Hope the wood doesn’t move and crack too much. Anyway it was a learning experience for me.
