Hello all!
We purchased this 20 year old home last year, and the plantation shutters need some care. I finally got round to taking them down. They are strip mounted to the window frame. One of them is missing a little plastic backer plate that i think is necessary to be able to make vertical adjustments to the shutter’s position in the frame. I’d like to get a replacement, but I can’t find what I’m looking for anywhere! Does anyone know where such a thing might be?

Sure, Rockler has loads of shutter hardware.

Thanks for the tip! Here’s a photo of the actual piece. No label on it, and I’m not sure if it’s even a proper piece of shutter hardware or something that was repurposed for the job. Anyone know what this is, where to get one, or something I could use in its place?
I'd look at Lee Valley and Highland Woodworking and WoodCraft in addition to Rockler.
If you have an intact part you can reproduce it by casting. Look at smooth-on.com . Use the old part to make a mold and then cast it with one of their epoxy products. It is easier than it sounds.
MJ, love the casting idea!
