I’ve been trying to identify these stones, I believe it’s an old stone and I believe the dark side is a black Arkansas and the other may be a translucent stone, they both seem to be very fine grit, I have clean both sides so they seem to be in their original state. Thanks to any help I can get.

Original state ? It is so rough I doubt it’s even a sharpening stone . I swear by Arkansas stones and after 40 years of using them, they are flat and the edges are square and sharp. The only thing that counts is finding if they can get an edge on tools, so I would dress them and use them and find out if they work.
It definitely puts an edge on a knife, i have a new set of Arkansas stones, soft hard and black, and this combo stone actually puts a sharper edge than my new set, original state i meant there was no discoloration caused by oil stains, thanks
I have a similar stone from my old barber, not flat, never used it for anything.
Well maybe there could be a connection, but my stone is flat and I’ve been using it to sharpen all my knives , or at least to put the final edge on it , and man does it get an edge, thanks
