I came across this plow plane from Auburn. Tool Co. (missing the iron and wedge) at an antique store, and I’m wondering if someone could shed a bit of light on it. I’ve never seen a plow this long/narrow, nor a fence with so little clearance. Considering purchasing it if the price point is reasonable, but a bit more info on the plane would help me determine as much.

The mouth looks like it could only use narrow blades. I doubt it could fit all of the blades in an 8 blade set. That would be okay for narrow grooves like for fitting in the bottoms of drawers or boxes. I agree it is a long plow plane with a short fence. But how many times have you seen a plow plane used with a fence extended way out anyway. Most of the time they are used pretty close to the edge like 3/8" or 1/4". Also I didn't see a wedge.
Would love a look at the bottom. Is that a steel skate protruding from the bottom?
