I am using walnut plywood to make a Federal Secretary Desk. I used a wood screw that was too long and it raised a dimple on the plywood face. I subsequently used a shorter screw. Any ideas on how to minimize or eliminate this raised dimple would be appreciated.

If it's close enough to an edge that you can get a quick-clamp or a C-clamp over the bulging spot, place a sturdy scrap of hardwood over it and torque the clamp down tightly. If that doesn't work, hold the scrap of hardwood over the spot and whack it hard with a hammer.
Bill,
Thanks for the reply. I clamped it and wacked it with a hammer. Both worked and know it is a slight bubble. This is my second error which I have know overcome.
Thanks again,
Kent Martin
