Hello,
I am a huge fan of Chris Beckvoort Shaker furniture work and have bought several of his books on Shaker furniture history and building techniques. I recently ordered through FWW the plans to make the Shaker Candle Stand. While watching Chris in his video, he uses a pneumatic drum sander on his lathe to smooth out the legs. I would like to buy and use the same tool. Can anyone give me the name and model number and possibly tell me where I can buy it?
David

I have not seen what Chris Beckvoort uses but drum sanders are not to pricey, 50 to 100$ or so depending on size, sleeves etc. Lee Valley has them. Likely less $ in the states I would expect then up here in Canada.
Thanks, I didn’t even think about looking on Lee Valley. I looked on Woodcraft, Rockler, and Amazon and not much there. I’ll check LV.
Thanks
I just noticed I left off the “s” in Becksvoort. Hopefully he won’t see my mistake.
Take a look at Klingspor's Woodworking Shop as well. And Grizzly.
Thanks John
Hello all, I finally located the pneumatic drum sander. I bought it from Industrial abrasives. They sell a model for lathes as well as for drill presses. I have used it several times now and it is a huge time saver and much easier to use on curved surfaces.

Which size did you get?
