They both have their advantages and disadvantages.
Pneumatic guns are smaller and lighter and fit in tight spaces easier but obviously have the air hose and compressor to deal with.
Cordless nailers are bulky and heavy and sometimes poorly balanced but extremely convenient when you want to drive a few nails quickly.
In my shop where I have a compressor handy I tend to use the pneumatic guns more, but on jobsites I can't deny the convenience of the cordless.
If I could only have one I guess it would be cordless but it's not a slam dunk decision.
What gauge fasteners are you interested in?
I have air nailers but can see the usefulness of a cordless pin nailer...
