I have a marble vanity top that is probably 30 years old and is dull. Good shape otherwise with no chips or scratches. I am thinking of using my PC random orbit polisher and an automotive polishing compound to try to get the finish back. Anyone had any experience with this approach?
thanks

F C B, wax can penitrate porous marble and eventually yellow. I think a wet polishing 'mop' or felt buffing wheel charged with a slurry of powdered pumace and water will do the job. Finish buffing with a different mop but use a slurry of water and rottenstone. Both products are available at any paint store. Steinmetz. The pads of course, must be attached to your RAS.
