Peter, I enjoyed watching your 5 part video series on finishing. I found that number 5 was a much lower quality compared to the first four and I was especially disappointed because I wanted to see the effects being created by rubbing out, etc. Can that be remedied? Keep making these videos!

Barnhouse,
Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you liked them. There isn't anything that can be done to improve # 5 Sorry.
After everything was done we (myself and the editor) had a discussion on improving the lighting. I know what you mean about not seeing the nuances.
I haven't done any since but if I do we'll try and get the lighting and presentation better.
Thanks,
Peter
To me, the problem looked like more than lighting, more like a lower resolution of video storage or conversion was used, but I'm no expert. Thanks for the reply.

Dear Barnhouse,
Thanks for the feedback about the videos. Input helps us to improve future productions.
Peter's right, we can't go back and reshoot the videos with better lighting, but there is some good news... we’ll soon be getting new, larger players for all our videos on FineWoodworking.com. In the coming months, we’ll also re-encode all our videos so the quality will be much higher.
These are examples of what to expect in the future--bigger player with higher res. videos:
