just finished building this chair. the finish i used is cabots austrailon oil. i’m just not sastified with sheen to the chair wood looks dull and suggestions would be appreciated chair will be outside all year long in nj and ny. dont want the plastic look but want a little more pop than what i have

Penetrating oil finishes won't give you much more sheen than you have.
Do you intend that the chair be used and left outdoors? This is important as to what finishes you might consider.

Because of the oil finish this will not work:
Epoxy and spar varnish
