Does anyone know a book or web page that shows how to make a berry bucket out of green poplar bark.I saw one years ago and thought it was in Foxfire or one of Drew Lagsners’ books but cants find it.Thanks.

"MAY 21, 2005 - Waxhaw Primitive Technology Club Meeting - 10am-12pm - The topic for May's meeting is 'Bark Berry Buckets'. Native Americans observed that every year, from May-June, Mother Nature worked her magic and 'released' the bark from the poplar tree, making it easy to remove. This was the only time of year they could make bark buckets and containers, to be used all year. Come learn how this was done and make a bark berry bucket of your own to take home!
FEE - $10.00 Instructor - Benjamin Pressley. Open to anyone age 15 and older. Please bring a lockblade pocketknife.
