porta-cable 24″ omnijig dove tail
I”m going to Seattle to one of the woodshows this weekend and was going to check out dove tail jigs. Could any woodworkers that might have experience with Porter – Cable #7216 24″ Omnijig pass along pros and cons of machine. I would very much appreciate the advice.

I like it. It's no harder or easier to set up than most, grips the material like a gorilla and is built like a tank. Bloody heavy though. If you get it see if they'll make you a deal on some more templates for it. I especially like the one with adjustable fingers and the sliding dovetail template. Not quite as pricey as they used to be. Mines about 8 years old.
I have the 16" omnijig and like the previous poster, built like a tank, grips the wood very good. I've probably made one to two thousand drawers with mine, its still like the day it came out of the box.
I would like the option to adjust my dovetails to get a "better look" but mainly I use it for kitchen cabinet drawers so it does what I need it to do.
I found it easy to work with, set-up, and change for different thickness material.
Did I mention built like a tank, it really is.
