Any thoughts on the PC350A framing nailer. I know PC is a long trusted name but I paid $100 less than the next higher priced unit and have not had the time to use it yet. I wonder if I should have bought another brand.

IIRC that nailer took a lot of heat over in Breaktime.
Ask there.
Could do a search also....

I have a Fr350 framing hammer that I am happy with. Have shot about 6000-10,000 nails with it, so i guess I have a little experience with it.
The issues that have been discussed with the Porter cable framers tend to revolve around "double firing". They have a soft recoil spring which allows it to multiple fire when in bump fire mode. (they also are more prone to misfire when run a low pressures, my personal experience)
After having a misfire incident result in putting a 16 penny nail into the last joint of my indexfinger ( taught me to keep my hands away from the work!) fortunately my finger was far enough away the it just bruised the bone and caused a severe sprain of the joint, could have been much , much worse! That incident prompted me to get the single fire trigger installed---now no such problems. (but nailing sheating is slower ..)
Overall a good gun for the $$, but recognize its limitations and idiosyncracies and you will be OK. If I had to do it again, I'd of bought a Senco or Hitachi.

Im in the market for a framing gun and the reason i'm not considering a PC is that ive heard they wont fit inbetween 16" O.C. studs (14.5") for toenailing..
