Post Cat Lacquesr vs Conversion Varnish
I have experience spraying post cat lacquer, but have not used conversion varnish. Are there differences between the two that I need to look out for besides needing to get each coat down in a set amount of time? Also, any reason to use a vinyl sealer, I have done this in the past, but I am wondering if it’s just easier to seal with a thinned down topcoat. Thanks for the help.

I haven’t sprayed either in a while, but conversion varnish has a much higher solids content than lacquer. You can also get non-yellowing water-white conversion varnish, but not nitrocellulose lacquer, only CAB-acrylic lacquers. I never used a sealer with conversion varnish.
