Is it safe to assume you mean posting attachments that are pics, and not inserting pictures right into you post?? Attachments are the easiest and safest way to go. When you're on the page where you're typing your post, look at the bottom, beneath the "composition box" you're working in. You'll see a row of orange buttons (Post.....Preview.....spellcheck and Attach Files) Click on that button, go through the 3 steps list. Browse to find the pic you want to attach (please, under 100 kb if at all possible, for the dial-up folks), the click on Upload, then wait, patiently, until the window lets you know the file is uploaded. When you're done with all of the attachments, click done, then post your message.

Am I dumb? Yes, I am. Thank you for the nudge
Naw, if you were dumb you wouldn't hang out here! It's easy to overlook stuff in the busy Prospero-designed environment!forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Jamie sorry to intrude, but I'm having trouble attaching a sketch. Prospero won't allow it as it is bigger than 1oo kb
I tried to re scan it to halve the size but no dice. You've helped me in the past and I'm much appreciative ED

Hi Ed, sorry you're having trouble. There have been many attachments, even recently, that are more than 100 Kb, so there must be something else going on. If you want, email it to me and see if I can figure it out. You still have my email address??forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Just sent you an email with an edited version of your sketch. The original was over 3,000 kb. Oh dear. You almost never want to post something in .bmp format -- it's uncompressed and makes for huge files. Once this sketch was converted to .jpg format and reduced to 50% in screen size, it was only 45 kb.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
I,m trying to find out how to reduce the format on another sketch on my scanner it has provision to reduce it 50% but after I lock in my choice, and proceed, it jumps back to 100% mode. BUMMER!
Ed.
What scanner are you using, Ed?forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
HP 3500c I'm new to uploading sketches but have no prob with photos and text messages I have already answered three or four requests for sketches today and I'm getting writer's block as well as scanner's tremors plus carpal wrist syndrome.. Snort! Ed.
HP's software can be kinda frustrating, at least I've found. Does your software have the "HP Director" feature?? Close the scanner and look under All Programs --> Hewlett-Packard--> HP3500 --> HP Photo and Imaging Director.
When I have trouble changing settings right in the scanner program, I go to the HP Director and set them there. (I have a different scanner though)forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Forestgirl, the attached photo of the writing surface for the secretary I wrote you about. Goby Walnut was my supplier.
Fol;lowing your posting instructions, hope this works.
Wow!forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
