can anyone recommend a good powerfeeder? minimum 1hp, must be single phase, preferrably 4 wheels, but not essential. i’m looking for something well built that functions well (like everyone else, right…). thanks.

I've used very old delta PFrs and newer Grizzly units. Both were great. I think that the most importaint part of the set up is a good support arm set up. I seen the lower end units by Delta and though I didn't use them they looked difficult to set up and flimsy. Grizzly seems to specialize PFrs because they hace 20 or more models. Seems they must know what they are doing with them.

A lot of my fellow MiniMax owners use Steff power feeders. I use a 1/4 HP Delta but don't do any production work.
I would look at Steff, General and Delta in that order. I haven't seen the Grizillies, but they are rapidly developing a reputation for good equipment, and great service._________________________________

Holz , Univer , SCMI , are just a few brands that make industrial quality power feeders .

Steffi units are great.

I will own a Grizzly power feeder someday, Lately I've visited a lot of cabinate shops and found that Grizzly seems to be the most common brand that no one has any complaints about.. I've seen a lot of brands out there and it doesn't seem to matter what brand someone has it's the best..
One of my favorite answers came froma shop with an old Delta, You could see the new capicitor and the welded in brace to keep the unit in line.. The rollers all had a clear wobble pattern on them and if you looked closely at the resultant wood piece it's clear that the rollers were causing a waving pattern in the wood..
The owner was proud of the fact that he bought it used for only $500.00 I didn't have the heart to tell him that a brand new 1 hp power feeder from Grizzly costs only $655.00
