can a cordless makita trimmer with a plunge base would do job like the above slab flattening? please advise Makita drt 50

I'm afraid I don't fully understand your question. If you are asking if a trim router is capable of flattening large live edge slabs, the answer is an unequivocal no. That is a task for a large router with a Ā½" collet and at least 2hp but preferably more. If on the other hand you are asking if a trim router is capable of cutting grooves in a top the answer is yes.

Well, you could, technically speaking, flatten a slab with a Dremel. But I sure as heck would never try. I wouldn't try a trim router, or anything with a 1/4 inch collet, either. It really is a job for a big router.
Thanks John_C2 , you were right about not to try with trim router as its a heavy job for trim router to handle thanks a lot.so i opted for makita 2hp rp2301fc.
