I need to upgrade to a larger planer and am considering the Powermatic 209 20 inch. Any experience, pro or con, with this machine would be a big help. Thanks to all.

Dale,
Before you make a decision, have a look at the thread posted here by Jay, for a Powermatic 66. It's not a planer, but you will be doing business with the same people.
Hey Jellyrug,
I have yet to post an update on my 66 thread. It is in my shop and I have yet to plug it in and run it. PM did send out a tech to make repair/adjustments to my saw. As far as them standing behind there product, they did. Where they responsible for some of the damage that accured during shipping? Well, yes but they did what was necessary to correct those problems.
As far as PM 209 planer. Take a close look at the casting. Thy are the same as Grizzley 1033 and the Sho Fox. I have used the Grizzley and for 1200 something bucks you can't beat it. I have not bought a Griz product personaly so can not attest to the companies rep but if I were buying a planer it would likley be theGriz.
