I have a old Powermatic 45 lathe that needs to be rebuilt. The headstock has some play in it and, just today the variable speed quit working…I heard something fall and looked inside the door and found a bearing, see photos (if I can get them to upload).
I am wondering if anyone knows where I can get drawings showing how the lathe is put together. Also if anyone has done this before and has any advise I would love to hear it.
There is a place here that rebuilds old tools, but I’d like to do it myself, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Well I cant seem to get the pictures to upload. Everytime I hit upload I get “the page cannot be displayed screen”
Thanks…Jeff

Can't you get a parts manual from Powermatic. I've gotten them plenty of time over the years and for free too.
Yes, I think you can get the manual from Powermatic. I guess I was hoping to find something on the internet.
I'm just being impatient!
Thanks for the reply...Jeff
