I purchased the 60B this past november.Had previously owned the 6" version(54A) . The 60B has a nice fit and finish as you'd expect from powermatic, plenty of power, tables are flat and parallel with each other. Only complaint I could make is that the blade guard could be a little closer to the top of the beds.Boards thinner than 5/8 inch thick tend to slide under the guard rather than pushing the guard back from over the knives.Had to trim one of the roll pins that holds the guard's spring mechanism just to get the guard where it is now.I consider this a minor problem, however.Email to powermatic re: the problem went unanswered.Overall a really great machine.Let me know if you have any other questions. john
How is the fit and finish of the tables and more importantly, the dovetailed gibs. Do the tables slide effortlessly.
Are there jackscrews or jacksprings?
How do you like the fence? Is it hard to get to 90 degrees? Does it move after being set?
Is the motor 220V?
tables are nicely finished and slide easily.Dual adjustment lever on infeed table is a real plus; normal up and down lever movement for coarse adjustment and twist of lever for fine adjustment. Not real knowledgeable about knives; manual says "springs or jackscrews"??.I don't adjust fence much but its very heavy duty and seems to lock in place very securely. For 90 degeees, adjustable bolt rests against a heavy duty stop that can be flipped out of the way. Wish I could be more help. Maybe other 60B owners could weigh in. john
