I just bought a used Powermatic 66, 3HP table saw, was wondering how old is was. Do the 1st 2 digits in the serial number designate what year it was made? Or how can I tell ?

Give Powematic a call maybe they can help you. I know if it is a green saw it is older than a gold painted one (lot of help there)
Good luck

On the Gold painted tools, the first two digits reflect the year it was made. 00..... equals the year 2000, etc.
