The prices don't seem to vary a lot being a new saw. I got mine at Amazon.com - which included free shipping. They currently have the 50" model for $2199 with FREE SHIPPING - at least for today. They seem to change a lot from offering free shipping on power tools to no free shipping. The only thing - it's not in stock but if you can wait it's a good price. The web site says 4-6 weeks wait. When I ordered mine it said the same thing but it arrived in 3 weeks. As far as the saw goes - I could not be happier. Runs smooth as silk and cuts like a dream. The internal casters are a real plus for me in my tiny shop. The quick-release riving knife and blade guard means that I actually use them! A great tool. I really can't compare to any other cabinet saws - I upgraded from a Jet Contractor's saw.
Good luck!

Thanks john, I will order it today.
Back when I bought several pieces of equipment, about the only thing I did to get a discount on Powermatic was to buy from Woodworker's Supply... They have up to a 3% discount for purchase of 3 machines...
Amazon might beat the bottom line with their no shipping and no tax. But Amazon has a Price match policy, so if you can get the lowest price for the machine and shipping, and phone it into the Price Match dept., they will match the grand total amount.

Thanks for the info. How do you like the saw?
I bought the four pieces which included my PM 66 in 2001,before Sept. 11th, so the newer 2000 wasn't on the market back then.
If you find a better discount on any future Powermatic equipment, please post it, will you?
Thanks, Bill
