I am planning to build kitchen cabinets and wondering if i should spray the plywood first, then cut, join, etc, or spray the finished cabinet. I am a one-man band hobbyist, so space is an issue. I was hoping my wife would do the finish, but she’s pregnant, so that won’t work. Thanks in advance.

How about using pre-finished ply. It should be available at any good plywood outlet (not borg orange or borg blue). It cost a little more but saves lots of time and the finish is really tough.
THanks, that's a great idea. Never knew it existed.
Most of my customers prefer the look of melamine on the inside of the cabinet. Nice clean look, and easier to clean.Regards, Scooter"I may be drunk, but you're crazy, and I'll be sober tomorrow." WC Fields, "Its a Gift" 1934
You can finish first as long as you mask off areas that will be glued.
What we did in our shop was assemble the carcase without installing the back. Then we would spray the insides and put on the back. Having both front and back open simplifies spraying--or brushing.
Last fall, I used pre-finished ply on 3 different projects at home...credenza, and 2 bookshelves. Works great and saved a huge amount of time. gluing and faceframe was touchy, but with careful taping, glue up went fine. I love the results.
