I have a two and a half year old hardwood beveled glass door that needs help, due to the morning sun beating on it daily the door is starting to look like it is much older, is there something I can put on it to protect it and preserve it’s appearance before it looks really bad. (something like
a sunscreen for wood maybe).
Thanks K.G.

Yes, paint resists the damage caused by UV light better than any other wood finish.
*I would like to keep the finish that is already on the door it has about three coats of polyurethane finish but it's starting to fade in the corners where the wood and glass meet. I guess I was wondering if there is a product out there I could use to touch up where the door is losing its gloss and that has a uv protection in it. I really I'm trying to avoid refinishing the whole door. I could just touch it up with the poly but I was just thinking there might be something else out there,so if you know of anything, I am interested. Thanks K.G.
*There is no super finish when it comes to wood that is exposed to sun and moisture. As I said, paint hold up the best, but if you want a clear finish, marine-grade spar varnish is your best bet. Even that will have to be sanded or scraped and re-applied every 3-5 years, depending upon the level of exposure.
*Try Penofin oil finishes.
