Pressure relief damper with dust collection
The dust collector sits on the outside of my newly renovated shop. The air it is sucking out needs to be replaced or it will create a vacuum. If you use this kind of setup, what type of pressure relief damper do you use? Make and model number would be appreciated? Note that the wall it would be placed in is fire rated so the damper would need to be fire rated too. Thanks.

The best solution would be to duct the exhaust air back to the filter assembly inside your shop. This would retain heat in the winter and cool air in the summer if you are using an AC.
A dual stage separator with a 1 micron exhaust bag is a viable alternative to outside exhausting during hot and cold seasons. My DC is set up in a separate room with a louvered fan return and entry door I can open on mild days to admit fresh air after opening a window in my main shop. As a retired instrument/electrician guy, it goes with saying the window, louver and door are all mag switched at 24VDC to the dust collector relay to prevent any vacuum issues.
I agree. I have an Oneida V3000. Unfortunately that setup is not easily done with this machine.
If you're talking outside as in outdoors the lost energy will be huge. As 27b_6 says, route the ducts to hang the exhaust filter in the shop for no pressure drops and heat loss. If it is outside the shop as in in the next room, a sound-baffled air return through the wall would do it.
