I’d like some feed back on what people are paying for Pennsylvania cherry lumber FAS straight lined and surfaced, 4/4, 5/4, 6/4 and I think some 8/4 total bd. ft. about 1500, nice lumber! I’m considering investing in this lot of lumber just want to get an accurate idea of proper value. This lumber will keep me stocked up for lots different projects for for some time. Thank you.

What would be a fair price depends on a number of different factors. Is it kiln dried? Has it been stored in a climate controlled environment? Is there anything special about the grain patterns in that particular lot? You could pay between $5.00-$8.00 a bd. ft. for select, red face cherry. $2.00-3.00 a bd ft for common grade. Be sure to check the moisture content before you purchase or use. Hope this helps.
Quality of the lumber is everything with pricing. Is the wood graded? Is it select, or mill run. When you buy mill run, you pay less, because it comes straight off the mill, and into your stack. No grading.
More information is needed.
