I have been ask to quote a price for an interior trim job. Is there a standard pricing structure for this type of work?

Yes there is.
Quote by the square foot of floor area trimmed. In my area, this doesn't include any materials or nails. Stairs or any special stuff is often quoted separately. Your quote should be a reflection of the work that's involved. How much crown molding? What type? How many windows and doors? What type of trim. What else might you be asked to do? Install all bath hardware? Mantles? Exterior shutters? Closet shelving? Who sets the cabinets? You can probably find out what contractors are paying in your area if you ask around, but for someone who's just getting started, I would think you would want to try to quantify the amount of time it will take you by looking at each piece of work in your scope separately. Then back into a price per sf.
