Pricing for Walnut Butcher Block Restaurant Table Tops
HI, I have a client who wants walnut butcher block table tops for their restaurant. They want them to be 30”x48”. I am just wanting to know if anyone could give their input on pricing for this with either a polyurethane finish vs an epoxy finish. I do want to under quote myself. I’m thinking $600 – $650 for the table tops themselves.

How thick is the top going to be? You mention butcher block,is it correct to assume that your not talking about an end grain top?
I made 7 tabletops for a restaurant that were 22" x 48" out of 6/4 flat sawn red oak. I charged $360.00 per table top and finished them with General Finishes Conversion Varnish, which is a very durable water based top coat. If the price of walnut is around twice that of red oak, and these will be about 1 1/4 in thick, I think you have a good price estimate. If you check out the Conversion Varnish you may have to raise the price, because when I did these tables two years ago it was $100.00 a gallon.
