Found some beadboard panels that are pre-primed at the factory. Would like to use white lacquer over them. Is that Ok? Or should I use shellac over the primer then lacquer? This will be in a powder room cabinet.

jvk , May depend on what the beadboard is pre-primed with , compatbility can cause problems . You would think the product comes ready for most any materials .
I've never had a problem spraying lacquer over a factory primer, although I don't do it often because I usually have to do my own priming. I do know that lacquer primer is widely used under latex because it dries faster and sands better than the latex primers. So it may be that the factory primer is a lacquer type primer.
That said, if you are unsure and want to be on the safe side then laying down a layer of shellac first is probably the safest thing you could do.
