Problem of my wooden gear clock

Hi,

I am working on a wooden gear clock which is powered by a weight, and there’s a problem:

The movement of the pendulum won’t last more than 5 second, and it will come to a total stop by itself.

My question is:

How to make the Pendulum NOT stop at a wooden gear clock?

Don't know if he makes a clock, but he does make wooden gears. Maybe something he does will ring a bell.
