I’ve been using my Festool TS55 for over a year now (I’m in the UK, the TS55 was released earlier here). I use it a LOT. I make kitchens and don’t currently have a table saw. I always use it with guide rails including the MFT
Recently I’ve been having trouble adjusting the cams that control how the saw grips the rail, investigation has shown that the wear pads which are cast into the base, the ones which slide againstt he raised portion of the rail, are quite badly worn, so that the cams even fully tightened don’t grip the rail closely.
It seems to me that it would be better if Festo had fitted replaceable wear pads in some kind of long life plastic rather than cast them into the baseplate.
I shall be talking to Festo about this, but would be interested to hear if anyone else has the same problem
