When I attempt to search the Knots Forum, the “FROM” parameter only presents 22 pull-down names. Yesterday it did have the names I wanted to search. Today, can’t find those names.
Can anyone help?

I have found that if the name is in the thread you are in when you initiate the search they will appear in the dropdown box. Hope it helps.

It would indeed be a tragedy if the history of the human race proved to be nothing more than the story of an ape playing with a box of matches on a petrol dump. ~David Ormsby Gore
That didn't work for me either. I also tried choosing my name and typing in the other member's name as a choice also. The search only gave me the posts from me.Greg

Greg,I don't know for sure, but I doubt that the "or" between the two "From" search boxes means "Member A from the pull-down box OR Member B from the fill-in box." I believe that it means "Member A from the pull-down box OR (if not available there) Member A from the fill-in box. That could explain why when you chose your name, it defaulted to that and ignored the other.I think that if the other member's name isn't available in the pull-down box, all you need to do is type it in the fill-in box. If you're looking for a recent post, you'll probably want to use the "Updated From:" boxes as well to narrow down the search. No need to go through all 343445+ messages if you don't have to.If you're looking for something you posted or received, you don't need to put your name in either of the boxes; there's a check box at the bottom for posts to or from yourself. And if you aren't sure you remembered the member's name correctly, down at the bottom on the left side of the discussion page you can click on "Visitors" to see who's been on line recently. At the bottom of that list you can click on "Show More Visitors." And at the bottom of that list you can..., etc. (I wouldn't expect instant gratification from that approach, though; there are a lot more visitors than posters.)If this doesn't help, give us a few more details on what you're trying to do, and we'll try again. Dan
That's the trick. I thought this was a boolean search. Got what I needed. Thanks!
