Problem with Powermatic 2000 table saw dust collection hose.
The dust collection hose on my Powermatic 2000 table saw is constantly falling off the shroud. Does anyone have any suggestions? (I called Powermatic and they said “It’s the nature of the beast.”)

I put hose clamps on my PM2000 and that has helped but not totally eliminated the problem. My hose now comes off occasionally, but only at the extreme limit of the blade height adjustment when angled. A slightly longer hose might help, but the trade off is more fraction and potential plugging from thin cutoffs getting stuck in a longer hose.
Thanks, swensong!
I have always fastened the hose with a hose clamp. The problem is that the neck of the shroud is very short.
Wrap the shroud with heavy double-stick tape before you clamp the hose back on. The fabric based tape used for holding parts down on a cnc is what I'd try.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try it and let you know how it works.

I have a 66 but I doubt there is much difference. I attached a short section of 4 inch ducting and my dust collection hose to that --both ends with hose clamps. My 4 inch duct is actually a swivel section because of how it works for me but it doesn't have to be.
