Hi everyone. I am a new woodworker and this is my first post. I enjoy the forum and have learned a lot from all the information.
My post relates to the problem some of you have had in logging onto this forum. I am not a computer person, but have been around them for years. In my work (that that supports my hobby) we use an internet based time & attendance tracking system. We have had some recent problems with clients using parts of the system. We found that they have been using older versions of Internet Explorer. I was just wondering if this might be a solution for some of you.
If you haven’t done this recently, go to Tools – Windows Update and download the latest version. I guess this would apply to other browsers.
I look forward to learning as much as possible from all of you.
Thanks,
Bill

Bill,
I've asked Mark Coleman (our sysop) to help you out, but I'd also suggest going over to The Sandbox and checking out the problem over there. Mark monitors that forum as well. Here's the link:

Good luck.

Guess I didn't say, I am not having problems. Just thought those that had mentioned this in others threads might try it.
Woops, I misunderstood. Thanks.____________Tim SamsAssociate Editor, Fine WoodworkingKnots Moderator
I just ordered a subscription for complete access...complete at $99/year. I can't log on and every "fix" on the log in account information gets me nowhere. Any suggestions? this post is from 4/26/20.
I'm no expert but when I'm in this situation, I try logging in with different devices. For instance, I'll try logging in with my phone or my tablet and I'll even switch browsers on my desktop computer and try it that way.
If a different piece of equipment *IS* able to log in but my desktop is not, then I've narrowed the problem down. Things like anti-virus software and pop-up blockers might be suspect.
On the other hand, it could simply be a SNAFU with the FWW computer.
