Sometimes when searching for an article and trying to view it in pdf it freezes up. Sometimes it has the Adobe border sometimes just a new window and nothing else. When it dose this I have to at least completly close and re open my browser to get my computer to do anything agian and sometimes I have to completly shut down the computer. It has latley started opening a new window and nothing else that I can close but I never get the pdf. I e mailed FWW and they suggested that it was my computer. It is not my computer. My question is, is any one else having these problems?

In my opinion Adobe Acrobat is a buggy, slow, resource hungry, piece of spyware. Try using Foxit. It's a free pdf reader thats fast and bug free and does not continually reside in memory. Also does not phone home daily like Acrobat.

Thanks for the response but I tried to use it and can not get it to do anything and now the pdfs will not open at all. Any ideas?
I had this problem using firefox and acrobat reader with Office 2000.
What I would do is open the task manager and under the processes tab, look for AcroRd32.exe. Select it and then hit the "end process" button. After that I did hit reload in the browser and the page usually loaded.I may have had this problem with my XP machine at home too. I don't think I have seen it since upgrading to Acrobat Reader 7.0 and making it the default reader for PDFs (as opposed to 6.0)Hope this helps.
For sure, verify you're using the most current version of Acrobat Reader. I also make sure to close AR before opening a new .PDF document.
