I’d like to try Roland Johnson’s varnish mixture from issue 198, but there’s a discrepancy in the mixture. The article says 5 parts each of varnish and tung oil to 2 parts Japan drier and 2 parts turpentine.
But the accompanying video says 10 parts each of varnish and tung oil, to the same 2 parts Japan drier and turpentine.
That’s twice as much varnish and tung oil, which is quite a difference. Which is the correct mixture?

There was a mistake in the magazine article recipe for the hot rod varnish. The correct mixture is 10-10-2.
