Does any have the PSI Woodworking TSGUARD Table Saw Dust Collection Guard? If so what do you think of it, and would it be suitable for a Community Collage wood shop.
Thanks Jim

I have it. I am a hobbyist and do not use it on a day-to-day basis. It works fine. I just moved and in my previous house shop, I used the full arm assembly with dust collection. In my new shop, I have used the ceiling mount. The unit is sturdy and the dust collection is fine. It is not nearly as beefy as the major brands. It even states in the owners manual that it is not for use as a "gaurd". In my opinion, thats a lawyer cover. The plastic is about as thick as the guard on my chop saw. The other major brands have much thicker plexiglass. Don't get me wrong, I still like it, and for the money it could not be beat. However if you are in a production environment, you may want something more beefy. If you have a full blown shop, look up some plans by doing a search here, and on google, and have the students make them. If that's not an option then consider the beefier brands.
It does what I want, it keeps my fingers away from the blade. Would I buy it again, yep. That thin shield is my only beef. That's my 2 cents worth. Good luck. I graduated from a CC, would have been nice to have had a shop that offered ww classes. Where are you located?
I have the PSI, but do not have experience with any other guards/dust covers. Following up on Bones' suggestion to possibly make your own, here's a link for a plan:
