I know I saw an article for a (new?) product that was called somthing like “Pull-Over” for a polish finish on poly. Can’t find any info. so I’ll throw this out for inquiry to see if it’s just me or did anyone else pick-up something about this subject.

I think Gun Makers use this technique

Interesting link, WillGeorge. It sounds to me like "pull over" is more or less another term for "padding" (aka: french padding or french polishing). It could refer to a variant technique for doing repairs which is similiar but only uses the solvents without any resin... Jeff Weiss, owner and chief chemist of Target Coatings briefly described one such variant technique to me over at Jeff Jewitt's forum a couple weeks ago: http://www.homesteadfinishing.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2599
Sean Clarke wrote about Pullover in the Finish Line of issue 161. It is a way to get a hand-rubbed look on a lacquer finish.
I was intrigued by this article and went searching for the product. It may not be available in the US. Probably a MEK product with too high a VOC number, although the video that was on the FWW pages had a guy working without a respirator.Recommending the use of "Hide Signatures" option under "My Preferences" since 2005
I just checked with the supplier listed in the article and he still sells Pullover. Contact him at 888 369 5263, or [email protected].
Thanks -- I was relying on the web site. The UK Mylands site talks about pullover, the US site does not. My mistake.Recommending the use of "Hide Signatures" option under "My Preferences" since 2005
