Hi,
Anybody here familiar with the LeeValley universal mobile base? I desperately need a base for my table saw and have decided on the one pictured in the LeeValley catalogue for $ 89.00 (Canadian) I know some people mentioned Shopfox but that’s an American brand and I’d end up paying too much if I ordered that from the States. Best to stick with stores withine Canada. Some of you advised me not to buy the bases where you have to go out and buy hardware for. I know HomeHardware sells Delta bases but I think the LeeValley one would be better. Only $10.00 in the difference between those 2 bases. I think I’ll opt for the one where you don’t have to bother buying hardware for. For that price it should come with 4 pieces of hardware.

General International universal bases work well. I bought 1 and liked it so much I bought 2 more.

Hi Corners,
Thanks for the info. I will give them a call later today. Wow! $20.00 less than the LeeValley mobile base. The stand my table saw is attached to measures 21.5 inches X 25 inches. The General base increases in 1 inch increments so it should be fine. Doesn't look like too much of a difference between the LeeValley Base and the General Base. And I know General International is a reputable company. The local Tool store I always go to sells General woodworking tools.
