Years ago I purchased some quaker pegs that screwed into the wood instead of being inserted in a hole. can’t find them anymore. Any ideas of a source would be appreciated.

How many do you need? I know you can get double ended wood screws. (Although I'm having trouble right now finding out _where_ you can get them. Anybody else got a source on these?) You could cut the spigot off a normal pegs, drill the appropriate size hole in the base, and start one end of the two ended screw. But that would get really boring if you need hundreds of them.
Nearly any manufacturer of shaker pegs would probably make some, with the right minimum order. :)
Uncle,
I bought some double ended screws at True Value...to screw knobs in box doors. good luck
