I’m going to be constructing melamine cabinets for our new laundry room (10×8)and would appreciate input on a quality melamine blade.
Thank You.

My company bought me the Freud LU92M010 for a project I did for them. Worked fine as it is for melamine, Corian an laminates. It is the 60 tooth for $65. The Freud LU98R010 is an 80 tooth for $80. Both prices are Amazon. I imagine the 80 tooth would give even a finer cut. Both have the proper hook for melamite to help eliminate chipping.
Good Luck...

A 10" 80 tooth with A NEGATIVE RAKE WILL CUT FINER THAN FROG Hair , good luck
Forrest Duraline HI AT is superb!
The suggestion for HiATB is the best as far as quality of cut (Freud item is F810 but many manufacturers offer these). They are also excellent in veneered plywood but the drawback is the acute tip angles are more susceptible to wear in the abrasive substrate of the melamine. Thus Sarge's recommendation for the LU92 which is triple chip grind and will far outlast a HiATB blade with a very minor tradeoff of cut quality. We also have a new blade specifically for melamine: LU97 series or look for a comparable blade that has 80 TCG teeth and a very low hook angle.
