Sometimes around 2021 it appears that Earlex offered a 7000 Series “Professional” line, with a model HV7005, FIVE turbine spray unit, which was sold with their Pro8 gravity feed spray gun. Does anyone know why this model was so short lived? I can find no reviews or other info about it. It’s almost like it never existed. It may be it was primarily sold in the UK, but there were 120v units made for the USA market.

I've never heard of it. Sorry.
I'm betting it never existed, and that the "5" is just a typo. The top line says 3 stage in bold letters.
You could just email the Ad to Earlex for the final word.
I am pretty certain it exists because I've bought one. I was actually looking for a Pro8 gravity feed gun for my Sprayport 6003, and they are sold out everywhere, but there were ten of these 7005 units being sold on eBay by someone that included the gravity feed gun. I figured the extra $150 over the gun's cost was worth taking a chance on one, despite not knowing why it was discontinued. I have not received it yet. They are marked as 120v and made in the UK. I think the flyer I attached has a typo, as all the other specs I have seen for it call the HV7005 a 5-stage. Checking a web archive, I saw this unit was listed on the Earlex UK website in 2021. I never saw it offered on the USA Earlex site.
Oh wow, a typo the other way then. When does your setup arrive?
I don't expect to see it for more than a week, coming cross country. I had messaged Earlex asking about the 7000 Series, but got no response as yet. Ideally, it was just seeing too many UK production slow downs from Covid, and they just pulled the whole thing from their product line for now - Rather than it being some kind of engineering flaw.
It was confirmed to me that the line was discontinued and there was never even enough units made to ship to retailers. They are sticking with 3 stage units for now they said. That is the only reason given, but I would not really expect them to divulge to me why they ended a product line. So, that reseller must have got some liquidated stock. I was hoping maybe someone here had been considering buying one at the time, and had their retailer tell them why it was not going to become available.
I found the ebay guy, it's tempting, please check back... it could be a steal for however long it lives.
I'll try to give it a tryout as soon as I get it, and see what I notice compared to my 6003 3-stage. I guess I won't be able to tell much about it's long term performance though.
I received the Earlex 7005 unit and Pro8 gravity feed gun. So far all I have done is compare the blower force from the hose with my Sprayport 6003 unit. The 7005 seems a bit more forceful, yet more quiet. The adjustment knob on the unit gives good control of the fan speed.
Hopefully I'll be able to put some paint through it soon.
Looking forward to the rest of your review, thanks!
