Question about zero clearance insert for Porter Cable Jobsite table saw.

So far I have not been able to find a zero clearance throat plate for this saw or for that matter, any information on making one.
I understand a jobsite saw is used mainly for cutting 2×4’s so zero clearance isn’t really necessary. That said, I would really like to make one for my saw, but not being much of a metal worker, don’t know how to go about it. The standard insert is metal, probably about 1/16 thick. Help would certainly be appreciated.————————————————————————Bill

There are instructions in "Get Safer, Cleaner Cuts on Your Tablesaw" by Tom Begnal (FWW# 200).
